I was born a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away called Inglewood, California. I grew up along the shores and high deserts of Southern California. My family moved to San Jose in the earlier 1970s.

I’ve worked in the sales and service field basically all my life. I moved into the lending industry shortly after a not-so-pleasant experience while refinancing my own home over 20 years ago with a local bank.

My brother in law was the branch manager of a small mortgage brokerage in the Bay Area. He presented me with a loan application and then walked me through the loan process from start to finish. I really became intrigued with all the different factors involved in the loan approval. Not long after that, I quit my job as the director of education for a small engine company and the rest, as they say, is history.

I quickly became a top producer in our company, but not by advertising. I made sure the borrower’s needs were foremost in every transaction I completed. Still to this day, most of my transactions still come from referrals from my past clients. I love to help people, especially the ones who have been turned down by banks or other lenders.

I love to repair mechanical things. It doesn’t matter if it’s one of my motorcycles, a lawn mower, my brother’s chain saws, window balances, or the wife’s juice extractor — I do get a kick out of making stuff work right again.
